Early bird registration is now OPEN for The Gathering: Many Gifts, One Spirit, to be held March 24-26, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis.

With the theme, “Many Gifts, One Spirit,” The Gathering will draw some 500 leaders from Mennonite, Methodist, Presbyterian, Quaker, and the United Church of Christ related health and human service associations for three days of inspirational keynotes, amazing workshops, opportunities to share resources and knowledge, and so much more.

The early bird rate of $650 for members of agencies in the five faith traditions is available through Feb. 9, 2026, a savings of $100 per person.

Among the keynoters at The Gathering will be the Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson, president and CEO of the Children’s Defense Fund, with Lisa Carr—director of government relations for Service Coordination, Inc., and former senior public health advisor for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)—giving opening remarks during the same plenary; Nikki Rineer of MHS Consulting; and Stan Phelps, author and global speaking fellow.

The Gathering’s theme is based on 1 Corinthians 12:4-7: Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

The Gathering will be an exciting time for learning, listening, and forming new ways to work together, both in informal times together and in the 35 workshops that will take place throughout the event. It also will be a moment to celebrate and support one another. The Gathering promises to be a unique opportunity to share resources and knowledge; meet new colleagues; learn best practices, innovations, and critical issues shaping health and human service ministries; and leave our time together with a renewed commitment in our work to create a more just, caring, equitable, and compassionate world.

“CHHSM looks forward to meeting together with our ecumenical colleagues in The Gathering,” said Jamar Doyle, president and CEO of CHHSM. “There will be so many opportunities at The Gathering to engage with others, learn from experts, and be in community with like-minded people from across our health and human service ministries. I know that everyone who attends will have a life-changing experience.”

A limited number of scholarships will be available for first-time attendees and smaller CHHSM agencies with limited budgets. Those interested should email chhsmpublic@chhsm.org for additional information.
