2022 CHHSM 84th Annual Gathering

Together We Create a Just, Caring and Compassionate World

Straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal.

Philippians 3:13

We are very much looking forward to meeting in person for the 2022 CHHSM 84th Annual Gathering, which will be held at the historic Brown Hotel in Louisville, KY, from Tuesday, March 8 – Thursday, March 10.

Our theme is Forward Together. We will reflect on the ways that our faith tradition and ministries empower us to move Forward Together in response to the Covid-19 pandemic as well as in addressing systemic racism.

Highlights of the meeting include:

  • The Installation of the new CHHSM President and CEO at Opening Worship at St. John UCC, with preacher Rev. Dr. John Dorhauer, General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ
  • Opening keynote by Alton B. Pollard III, president of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary
  • Celebration of Mike Readinger’s leadership, with a special performance by Louisville’s Academy of Music Production, Education, and Development (AMPED)
  • Closing Keynote by Nikki Lanier, JD, CEO of Harper Slade, a racial equity advisory firm
  • Time to visit the Muhammed Ali Center, where we will hold Closing Worship and Consecration of the 2021 Nollau Class as Diakonal ministers, with preacher Rev. Dr. Jamesetta Ferguson, CEO of MOLO Village

The Annual Gathering Task Force is working hard to make the Annual Gathering the best meeting ever!  We anticipate that registration will open in mid-December.  In order to make the meeting as safe as possible, we will require all who attend to be vaccinated for Covid-19 or have an approved exemption as well as to follow other safety measures.
