Crossroad Looks to the Future through Logo Update and Website Refresh

Crossroad Child & Family Services in Fort Wayne, Ind., has a refreshed look. In October, the CHHSM agency unveiled its new logo and refreshed website.
“On Oct. 2, 2025, Crossroad unveiled our new logo— the third in the organization’s 142 years of service,” said Liz Bergren, chief development officer. “We chose to unveil our new logo and website in our anniversary month, October.”
According to Bergren, logo development took about a year and consisted of many discussions with designer Nancy Burnett. Following approval of the new logo, Tyler Hoffman, founder of Digital for Good and designer of the Crossroad website, completed its refresh.

“Crossroad has always recognized the importance of using their website for conveying their brand and services,” said Hoffman. “In the past 10 years that I’ve worked with them, we have made several changes to keep the website modern. I think the new branding is a fresh take on a long history of serving youth and families in Fort Wayne, and I’m glad the website can continue to play a pivotal role in telling that story.”
According to Bergren, Crossroad’s Board of Directors and executive leadership made the decision to update the Crossroad logo to better reflect its inclusive vision—creating promising futures for children while honoring the unique journeys each family takes to achieve them.
“We are committed to remaining relevant to our community, offering services that impact the lives of children and families across our region for the better,” Bergren said. “Often, our website is the first introduction to prospective clients, donors, and volunteers and we want their experience to be worthwhile and to communicate the spirit of our organization.”
The agency was already thinking ahead when, in 2023, it changed its URL to “crossroadcares.org” and asked Hoffman to do some website updates. “The change to crossroadcares.org is consistent with not only our mission but also our therapeutic model,” said Bergren.

Crossroad began life in 1883 as The Fort Wayne Orphans’ Home and became Crossroad in 1991. Today, its services include therapeutic residential and outpatient treatment programs, community-based mental health wrap-around services, outpatient counseling, and Crossroad Academy, an accredited Cognia/AdvancED school. It currently is partnering with Cornell University to become a CARE (Children And Residential Experiences) certified organization.
“While our visual identity is changing, our foundation of compassion, service, and commitment to helping youth and families remains constant, said Shirley Ryan, president and CEO. “The new logo and website refresh represents a fresh, inclusive approach to sharing our mission with the broader community we serve.”
