CHHSM Discussion Group to Focus on ‘Revive Us Again’ by William Barber

Registration is now open for the next “Together We Learn” discussion group, which will concentrate on Revive Us Again: Vision and Action in Moral Organizing by the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II.

The fourth “Together We Learn” offering, the group will meet for one hour on Thursdays at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT/11 a.m. MT/10 a.m. PT for eight weeks. The sessions begin Aug. 25.

“We chose this collection of sermons and addresses by Dr. Barber to help support us in moving from learning to action related to Race, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (RDEI-J),” said the Rev. George Graham, CHHSM vice president. “Dr. Barber is a compelling national leader who speaks to a broad range of health and human services issues. His ‘fusion’ approach to political organizing brings diverse voices and experiences together, which is also what we are trying to do with our ‘Together We Learn’ group. I am looking forward to the deep sharing and lively conversations that Revive Us Again will surely spark.”

As with all “Together We Learn” programs, the discussion group is free, online, and registrants are not required to attend every session.
