UCC-related Emmaus Homes Celebrates 125 Years at February 23 Gala

Emmaus Homes will celebrate its 125th anniversary at a special 125th Gala Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Bogey Hills Country Club in St. Charles, Mo.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner at 7 p.m., and a short program and dancing.

The Gala is the culmination of 125 days of special social media posts and stories lifting up Emmaus’ history and core values. The interesting historical facts on the Emmaus website, Facebook page, and Twitter feed are all building up to the Feb. 23 Gala.

One benefit of the various social media celebrations has been the connection between Emmaus Homes and its partners. People see stories or people they remember and share them with friends, says Steven Amrhein, Emmaus Homes’ brand manager. “We have long-standing connections with churches and volunteer groups. When we post a story about them, we make sure they have access to see it and let their networks see the good they’ve made in the community.”

During the Gala, the faith, history and service of Emmaus will be celebrated. After the Gala, the Twitter 125 Facts will be included in a short video that will be accessible via social media and on the Emmaus Homes website.
