Pension Boards and CHHSM to Host Webinar on Programs for CHHSM Member Employees

The Pension Boards — United Church of Christ is hosting a special webinar exclusively for CHHSM member ministries Tuesday, July 26, at 2 p.m. ET. The presentation will examine the many ways CHHSM agencies and their employees can benefit from participation in the programs and services of the Pension Boards.

The idea was born after a series of conversations between CHHSM and Pension Board staff members, including during the CHHSM Annual Gathering in March. “We realized that many of our member agencies might not be aware of all the plans and services offered by the Pension Boards, so this informational webinar seemed a logical next step,” said Jamar Doyle, CHHSM president and CEO.

The Pension Boards is the financial arm of the UCC, providing retirement plans and health, life, and disability insurance to employees of UCC-related organizations — including all CHHSM staff and member agencies. The July 26 webinar will be presented by the Pension Boards’ Ruth Madison, executive vice president for members services, and Jonathan Lee, director of church relations and operations. Madison and Lee will describe the different benefit options CHHSM member organizations might consider, as well as the additional benefits of free financial planning and wellness services that accompany all Pension Boards programs.

“Since our time together at the CHHSM Annual Gathering, we have enjoyed working with Jamar Doyle, George Graham, and Essence Ellis to better understand the unique needs of CHHSM member organizations and their employees,” said Madison. “We’re excited to share with CHHSM members how the Pension Boards can be a reliable and productive partner as employers seek to provide excellent benefits and services to their employees.”
