Isaiah 58 Ministries’ Work for Justice Extends to Creation through Partnership with Local Farm

Isaiah 58 Ministries in St. Louis believes that justice is not limited to people—it also extends to how we care for creation. As part of its commitment to being a just and compassionate ministry, the CHHSM agency strives to reduce waste and honor the interconnectedness of all life.
One way Isaiah 58 Ministries does this is through its ongoing partnership with New Roots Urban Farm. When produce donations are no longer fit for distribution, instead of sending them to the landfill, Isaiah 58 Ministries shares them with New Roots Urban Farm to help feed the farm’s animals and enrich its composting efforts. This simple yet powerful act helps close the loop—what can no longer nourish people can still nourish the earth.
By caring for its neighbors and for the land, Isaiah 58 Ministries works toward a more sustainable and just future for all.
