With a 20-year tradition of excellent care for older adults, Cape Albeon recently opened the new Cove Memory Care Household to offer residents and their families families a beacon of hope in caring for residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. In addition to providing a caring and secure community, the all-inclusive Memory Care Household strives to maintain dignity and independence for all residents.

“We are so thrilled to add ‘The Cove’ to our wide variety of care options,” said Carol DiSanza, executive director at Cape Albeon, based in St. Louis. “It’s going to represent a beacon of hope for residents and families as we continue to demonstrate the top-quality care as established by our reputation.”

The new household was carefully designed to give residents the utmost in comfort and familiarity, with calming scents, softly lit spaces, and beautiful views of the grounds. Staff members have years of experience with people challenged with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and they understand the role and importance of family involvement in the daily care of residents, DiSanza added. The Cove allows for a sense of continuity for older adults presently living in Cape Albeon’s independent living and assisted living apartments who may someday need Memory Care services.

“For over 20 years, Cape Albeon has been a trusted name in St. Louis when it comes to senior care,” said DiSanza. “Our increased focus on memory care builds upon our strengths while allowing us to expand our continuum of care so we can serve more people. It’s going to be so welcomed by residents, family members, and the greater St. Louis community.”
