United Church of Christ-related Bethany Children’s Home in Womelsdorf, Pennslyvania, is launching a fundraising and marketing campaign called “Over the Edge” to provide a thrilling rappelling experience for adventurous donors and create awareness of the services Bethany provides for local youth who have experienced trauma in their lives.

Over the Edge, a staging company known for its signature rappelling fundraising events held all over the world, has helped organizations raise millions of dollars, The Oct.12, 2016 event for Bethany will be the first of its kind for Reading. It will be held at 525 Student Apartments located at 525 Lancaster Ave..

“We are looking forward to sharing Bethany’s mission of providing a safe place of nurture, protection, and supportive care to aid our local youth in their self-understanding, growth, and healing toward a brighter, healthier future,” he says. “Each and every day, our kids are working to take back their lives in a safe, secure setting that provides them the support they need to work through the trauma they have faced.”

All funds raised from the campaign will support Bethany’s art, recreation, academic enrichment and music therapy programs provided to each youth in care to help them build skills for their future.
