Annual Gathering Early Bird Registration Opens Oct. 22; Sponsorships Available

Early bird registration for the 2027 Annual Gathering opens next week, Oct. 22, 2026. The 89th Annual Gathering takes place March 16-18, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Houston-Greenway Plaza, in Houston. 

“To the Stars through Difficulties” is the 2027 theme, a tip of the hat to Houston’s nickname, “Space City,” and the home of the Johnson Space Center, where space program astronauts live and train. It evokes the human spirit and inspiration necessary not only in the space program, but also in the day-to-day front-line work of CHHSM members and their staff. 

The Annual Gathering theme is grounded in its focus scripture, Isaiah 58. Workshops, keynotes, plenaries, worship, and more will be based on the biblical passage.

The early bird registration price for members is $650, non-members $700, a savings of $100 per registration. Early bird registration runs through Jan. 29. 2027. After that, registration will be full price.

“We want as many people in our CHHSM community as possible to enjoy next year’s event,” said Matt Bishop, CHHSM vice president and COO. “Our team has worked hard to craft a familiar CHHSM experience without raising registration prices over last year, while negotiating an improved hotel rate for our guests.”

Sponsorship Opportunities Abound

Sponsorship opportunities also are currently available. This year’s sponsorship opportunities include overall event sponsors at various levels, from the “Galaxy” level at $10,000 to the “Moon” level at $2,000. Each event sponsor level includes benefits commensurate with the given level. All event sponsorship levels include the sponsor’s logo on the Annual Gathering website and in the event app. 

Additionally, there will be several activity sponsorships, including keynote speaker, meal, business meeting, reception, workshop, and scholarship fund sponsors. Scholarship fund sponsors help CHHSM members from small agencies, seminary students, and others to attend the Annual Gathering. Custom amounts also are welcome.

Annual Gathering to be Inspirational

As usual, the Annual Gathering will include captivating keynote addresses, engaging workshops, immersive experiences, meaningful worship, CHHSM Affinity Group meetings, reflection time, and valuable networking opportunities. These experiences will ignite fresh ideas and new partnerships for ministry, as participants witness firsthand how CHHSM members are pioneering new ideas and collaborative projects to move forward in faith and love.

The Annual Gathering will include the consecration of the current Nollau Leadership class as Diakonal Ministers. Class members will be available during the gathering to discuss their final capstone projects. The CHHSM board also will meet during the event.
