Full-Time Chaplain-located in Cedar Community, West Bend, Wis.
The Chaplain attends to the spiritual needs of residents and staff. The Chaplain understands the role of and need for spiritual intervention and guidance as an important facet of a holistic approach to quality care. Spiritual care is an integral component of life enrichment for all Cedar Community residents. As such, Chaplains work closely with life enrichment staff to ensure resident-centered care across disciplines. Spiritual care includes regular weekly Christian ecumenical worship services at various Cedar Community locations employing the sacraments and liturgical forms consistent with traditional Christian churches, keeping in mind the evolving and diverse spiritual needs of current and future residents. Spiritual care extends beyond worship to include group activities that promote spiritual awareness, as well as individual encounters, with residents who desire spiritual support or who wish to explore their spiritual needs and questions. Chaplains work with the Vice President of Ministry and Volunteer Coordinator to ensure the provision of quality spiritual care. The Chaplain is responsible for assisting in the continued compliance with state and federal regulations as well as the success of the organization.
