Director of Spiritual Services: St. Paul’s Senior Living Community

St. Paul’s Senior Living Community in Greenville, Pa., is searching for a Director of Spiritual Services.
St. Paul’s is a continuing care retirement community with a broad worship and pastoral care ministry, serving residents across the nursing home, personal care, and independent living residences. The ideal candidate will have an M.Div. degree or equivalent, strong relational skills, 5-10 years of experience in parish ministry or pastoral services in senior living, and ordination in the United Church of Christ or one of its full-communion partners.
The candidate must have strong interpersonal, worship, and small group leadership skills in addition to those in end-of-life care. Additionally, the ability to inspire hope and trust, and collaborate with residents, families, and coworkers is important.
The position is more heavily weighted towards direct service than administration. There is a need to be able to relate broadly across the Christian spectrum. A unique opportunity with this position is working across generations of residents, families, and coworkers who have no religious background.
Northwest Pennsylvania has much to offer individuals and families, with small rural towns and outdoor activities, such as wilderness, trails, mountains, and lakes that can be enjoyed during all four seasons. We are nestled between Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Erie for those who enjoy more urban settings and events. Greenville itself has many social activities and entertainment offerings.
St. Paul’s is a growing organization with a home-like work culture and a great benefits package. The outgoing Director is generous with their retirement date to help the new Director get trained and acclimated to their new role. Any interested persons should submit a resume to 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125, online to ctrauterman@sp1867.org, or call with interest at 724-588-7610 and ask to speak with Caitlin Trauterman. EEO.
