Chief Program Officer: Hoyleton Youth & Family Services

Hoyleton Youth & Family Services (Hoyleton) in Fairview Heights, Ill., is a social services agency that provides therapeutic, behavioral and mental health informed care to youth and families impacted by trauma in the Southern Illinois region. Hoyleton was founded in 1895, as a Children’s Home, but has grown to become one of Southern Illinois’ leaders in health services for every stage of youth and family development. The areas of care include therapeutic residential care, foster care, emerging adult care, in-community care, counseling services and Puentes de Esperanza, a trusted resource for Spanish speaking residents in the communities served.

Hoyleton’s mission is to enable all people to realize the wholeness of life that God intends. The service approach follows the CARE model, a program model created at Cornell University that helps establish relationship-centered processes with all levels of staff to improve how the agency works as a whole. Hoyleton is one of only 50 agencies national that adheres to the CARE model.

Reporting to the President & CEO, Hoyleton seeks a proven leader with background and experience in child welfare, behavioral health or a related healthcare field. The new Chief Program Officer will be a key driver and partner of the growth strategy for the organization. Building upon the great reputation the agency has fostered over its long tenure, this leader will help to expand capacity and bandwidth for the existing programs and will work strategically with the CEO and Chief Administrative Officer to continue to drive the growth and expansion of services. This individual will have deep professional experience, including at least three years or more in senior level management experience in a complex organization with a proven track record of success. 

Candidates for the position must demonstrate strong leadership, strategic management and an ability to manage multiple projects and programs, as well as, a commitment and passion for Hoyleton’s mission of providing excellent therapeutic, behavioral and mental health services. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated knowledge of best practices and benchmarks, an understanding of diverse programming operations and the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to define the agency’s future strategies. Candidates should be skilled in assessing organizational structure, understand Medicaid funding and be a data-driven decision maker. The ability to envision and implement new strategic goals is key.
