Brewster Place, a Kansas-based continuing care retirement community (CCRC), is busy installing a cutting-edge nurse call system thanks to its CHHSM Store vendor partnership with Direct Supply Services & Solutions and Status Solutions.
Brewster Place worked closely with Direct Supply to implement the situational awareness response assistant (SARA) across its 30-acre community in Topeka, Kan.
SARA is an automated alert system that sends voice and text alerts via phone and email. It will allow a single-alert platform across Brewster Place’s entire community, interacting with residents in different ways based on the type of care being provided. SARA leverages tools to alert people by mass notification of both emergencies and non-emergencies.
Brewster Place and Direct Supply worked closely together to architect a solution that met the existing needs of Brewster Place residents. At the same time, it positioned the organization with a platform that can be leveraged in new ways in the future through innovative products being developed by Status Solutions and Direct Supply Service & Solutions.
The CHHSM Annual Meeting provides several unique opportunities for membership to meet service providers in a casual setting.
The Vendor Exposition and Lunch on Friday, March 4, offers one-on-one consultations, booth visits, demonstrations and the chance to hear about success stories from member organizations that have collaborated with vendors. CHHSM members will have the opportunity to connect with Direct Supply and other vendors, including BKD, Care Purchasing Services, DaRT Chart Systems, On Shift and OnSite Rx.
Additionally, a number of vendor partners will be in attendance throughout the entire meeting. Their extended presence will allow members to meet them, share information, and perhaps join them for the Friday evening invitational dinners hosted off-site.
