Vice President for Institutional Advancement: United Church Homes


United Church Homes, a multi-state housing ministry with corporate offices in Marion, Ohio, is seeking an exceptional individual for the position of vice president of institutional advancement. The successful candidate will work closely with the president and CEO and board of directors to provide executive level leadership for all aspects of the organization's corporate and subsidiary donor cultivation, fundraising, major and planned gift solicitation and capital campaign planning. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, implementing, managing and evaluating a comprehensive philanthropic program. This includes identifying and cultivating individual, foundation and corporate donors, developing major and planned gifts, directing annual giving, direct mail efforts, special events and e-philanthropy, as well as overseeing social media and other corporate communications as they pertain to institutional advancement.  The position also supports the individual campus administrators of UCH residences in their local fundraising efforts.  UCH seeks an energetic, creative and passionate leader eager to open opportunities for the organization to engage its many key stakeholders.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in creating and sustaining the organizational structure for a dynamic and vital advancement program.  Requirements include a bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of progressive fundraising experience  including three years of senior management experience.  A master's degree and direct experience in the senior living or health care industry are preferred.  CFRE accreditation or ability to attain is normally required.  The position involves extensive travel to member facilities, primarily in Ohio, as well as travel to professional, church, and trade association meetings.   Submit resume with cover letter and salary requirements by the close of business on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012Electronic submission of written materials is preferred.  Send to Mr. Tim Hackett, Vice President of Employee Relations, United Church  Homes, 170 East Center Street, Marion, OH 43301.   Telephone: 740-382-4885.  E-mail:  thackett@uchinc.org.   EOE
