This webinar will provide a firsthand look at how some of the nation’s most innovative charities successfully attract steady streams of corporate support.
Participants will hear from a leader at City Year who will explain how corporate and government support helped the charity grow an average of 15 percent a year since 2008, even during the deepest parts of the recession. The group doubled its revenue from an annual budget of $56 million in 2008 to $117 million today. Participants will also learn how KaBOOM!, a charity that builds playgrounds, attracted $20 million in corporate support.
Both groups have achieved success, in large part by offering tangible benefits to companies in return for financial support, such as good press coverage and opportunities for employees to volunteer.
Participants will learn:
- How to meet the needs of corporate donors while furthering mission
- Realistic approaches to defining how much money to seek from corporate sponsors and what benefits the sponsors will receive from your organization
- How to encourage companies that already support your cause to step up their giving
- How collaborating with another charity can attract corporate sponsors and help both groups reach more people
This webinar is designed especially for development and communications managers and staff members, executive directors and grant proposal writers.
