On-Boarding the Board
From recruitment to retirement, board members are “mission critical.” Careful attention to the development and support of the board can benefit those you serve. Ignoring the board puts your entire ministry at risk.
-
Building Capacity
Acquiring the talents and tools for board success is not accidental. It takes intelligent strategy, disciplined process and commitment to excellence. The rewards can be transformational for your board and your entire organization.
-
Culture is Key
Long-term sustainability is tied to an organization’s culture. The future of your ministry depends upon the culture you create. A positive culture will support a positive result.
Saturday: “Bias or Belief – Fad or Faith?”
-
Fundamental, sentimental or ornamental? Which describes the role of faith and belief in your UCC ministry?
Governance seminar participants are to register full-time for the CHHSM Annual Meeting and should indicate their desire to participate in “Governance of Diakonal Ministry – Grounded in the Church” on the Annual Meeting electronic registration form. Seminar participants are expected to participate in the Annual Meeting worship, plenaries and dialogue sessions. Those sessions will illuminate the values and beliefs of the United Church of Christ, “the church we live in” and in which the governance vocation of board members of CHHSM members ministries is grounded.
